Dr. Nawarerk Chalarak


Nawarerk Chalarak is currently a lecturer at the department of computer science, faculty of science and technology, Thammasat University, Thailand. He received his B.Eng. in Computer Engineering from Suranaree University of Technology (SUT) (First-class honors), M.Eng. in Information Management from Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), and M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Knowledge Science from Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST).

He has experience working as an assistant unit manager and service coordinator in the IT industry in Thailand for almost 6 years before decided to pursue a doctoral program in Japan. His research interests are in the areas of project management, R&D management, competency development, data mining, and artificial intelligence (AI). His current research aims at 1) improving global R&D project management by introducing the competency development framework for whom we called R&D Bridge Managers and 2) applying AI to medical domain focusing on medical image processing.
